For travellers all around
the world, the word
"Olympic" brings to mind
many memories and dreams.
But for all Greeks, it will
always bring to mind the
first Greek airline. The
first airline that opened
the world's skies to all
Greeks, becoming synonymous
with safety and serving as a
point of reference and pride
for generations and
generations - bringing her
historic logo of six linked
rings to all corners of the
world.
On October 1st,
the new Olympic enters a new
era, spreading its wings and
embarking on new voyages. It
has been renamed Olympic
Air and in the hands of
Marfin Investment Group (MIG),
the largest business group
in Southeastern Europe,
active in the fields of
transport, tourism, food,
healthcare and IT, with more
than 56,000 employees and a
client base that exceeds 20
million people in 40
countries, it is ready to
once again fly high in the
world's skies.
The new Olympic Air will
be more modern than ever and
have a new vision, a new
vigor, a new concept - with
brand new cutting-edge
aircraft, with innovative
and pioneering services,
with traditional Greek
hospitality, and a renewed
passion to offer even more.
In addition to this new
momentum, leading
technology, innovation, and
pioneering, the new Olympic

in Europe, consisting of
Airbus A319/A320s and
Bombardier Dash 8s. Overall,
our investment in the fleet
is expected to exceed $1.1

business group in
Southeastern Europe, has and

Our network
From October 1 st, Olympic Air will operate services to 10 international and 20 domestic destinations, not including PSO (Public Service Obligation) domestic destinations and bilaterally serviced destinations (14 additional destinations), for which we are awaiting the approval of the Greek Civil Aviation Authority. Our main base will be the Eleftherios Venizelos Athens International Airport of Athens, utilising the airports of Thessaloniki and Rodos as secondary bases. The network is scheduled so that all domestic destinations will have the opportunity to connect to international flights of our network, facilitating passenger movements between hubs of the network and transferring passengers to other international hubs of other cooperating airlines.
Olympic Air's ultimate goal is to establish itself as a dependable, reliable, and high-quality airline in Southeastern Europe.
By Spring 2010, in its final form the fleet will consist of 31 aircraft in total: sixteen (16) Airbus (A320/A319), ten (10) Bombardier Dash 8-Q400, four (4) Bombardier Dash 8-100 and one (1) ATR-42.
On a daily basis, Olympic Air will cover the routes of most Greek destinations as well as the popular international destinations (London, Paris, Vienna, Brussels, Amsterdam, Milan, Rome, Bucharest, Larnaca, and Sofia, amongst others), in which both business and economy class services will be offered.
Ultimately, the total number of Olympic Air destinations will be adapted in as our network is expanded through the introduction of further code-shared flights with our airline partners, who share our visions for excellent ongoing service to our customers
